She received money for writing essays, reviews of plays and a translation of some verses. Lyudmila focused on the family: she had two sons who had to be careed for. The mother, who found cancer, also demanded concerns. Then Ulitskaya divorced her husband and the question arose sharply about the search for work.
However, she was not going to return to science, as she realized that over the years of absence, she was hopelessly lagging behind. Lyudmila Ulitskaya in his youth, the first books in the year with the help of a friend of Ulitskaya received a place of the head of the literary part in the chamber Jewish Musical Theater. There she first encountered frankly poor scripts of the authors and realized that she could write much better.
