Konstantin Chudovsky biography

Culture Konstantin Chudovsky: “Thank God for everything! The meeting with journalists began very unusual: Vladimir Dedyukhin, adviser and deputy artistic director of the Kremlin Orchestra, conducted an excursion-quest for journalists. He knows literally everything about the history of the GDRZ building! The temple was demolished in the X temple, and a sound recording house was built instead, in which the first studio recording in the country was made on December 5.

With the outbreak of World War II, military reports were broadcast from here, and on the night of May 9, Yuri Levitan read out the act on the military surrender of Germany. And then the whole further story is more like a miracle, about which we talked with the artistic director and chief conductor of the Kremlin Orchestra Konstantin Chudovsky: “For five years our orchestra has existed on paper, and in fact only two years.

When I was told that it is planned to create the best orchestra of Russia - I will not be afraid of such a definition - I realized that the bar would initially be raised very highly. And what we play today, and how we play is confirmation of this. We are now the musical face of the state. We survived the pandemic. Actually, in the period of pandemia, orchestri was born, a set of musicians took place.

Our first concert we played in Mariupol. And it seems to me that it is symbolic. Moreover, we brought Tchaikovsky immediately to Mariupol, his fourth symphony. And now I have an incredible rise in the shower! Concerts go almost daily. We still find time to rehearse! Musicians literally live on stage. " And these are not just words. In the orchestra, such a creative and friendly atmosphere reigns that you begin to feel it even before the first notes sound.

This is the most important thing for me, - continues the story of Chudovsky. And I picked up, so to speak, my people with whom I was on the same wave. For me, the worst thing is when our common cause becomes work. This is not a job. This service is happiness. And we have all the musicians of the orchestra in the same way. They love their job. For example, it seems to me that I come to a rehearsal before.

At 9 am I am already here. But certainly someone is already engaged in, playing, having come even earlier. I am leaving late in the evening, and someone stays, the whole group can remain to learn complex places. Where it happens when you, a conductor, come to the first rehearsal, and everything is already playing clean, everything is ready, everything is learned, and you can engage exclusively with music, that is, interpretation, concept, high matters?

This is unique! In orchestransko compositions, in fact, four orchestras in one: symphonic, chamber, brass and pop-jazz. Except for the pop-jazz composition, which is still formed, in the team is already an orchestra. Accordingly, in the end there will be a person. It's great that now they have their own home! And Konstantin Chudovsky feels like a real hospitable master: “As for the presentation of our new hall, this is not quite a pen of the pen.

We have recently begun to rehearse here. In February of this year, the management of the President of the Russian Federation, thanks to the efforts of which we received a rehearsal base, held an official presentation of the hall in the premises of the 2nd studio. But only now the time has come, so to speak, to call the guests to the housewarming, to share our joy, the opportunity to demonstrate how we play, what we can, what the hall itself is capable of in which we now live.

We show you not just the hall, but our house. Imagine you bought a new apartment. But until it is finished, you are not gathering guests? Only with the advent of the first guests does the house begin to live, and finding your own home is an event with which nothing can be compared! Repair went for a whole year. When we first saw a studio in the state in which it was in recently, we were horrified.

All in the ruins, a broken brick around, but the day after day we witnessed how the hall was being revived literally from the ashes. It is amazingly interesting! After all, literally every plank changes the nature of the sound. We checked the acoustics of the hall first on the equipment, then with the orchestra. When something new is created, it is so interesting to watch the process.

It is one thing when you are invited to a ready -made orchestra or to a finished studio. It is completely different to take part in their birth. And it was like that! And with the musicians who, before we come to us, never played together, and we initially formed our sound - each orchestra has his own.

And with the studio - each hall has its own acoustics. You can say even more! It is amazing - interpenetrating - process! It’s like you are inside the sound enveloping from all sides. An amazing sensation, especially on the mighty deafening fort and tender air pianissimo. The merit is the skill of each orchestra, and, of course, the conductor. In the conclusion of our conversation, Konstantin Chudovsky noted: “In two years that we exist, we have outplayed, in my opinion, that's all!

Most of the soloist-instrumentalists and singers performed. And with choral beautiful teams too.Soon, probably, we will cover everyone at all, we just didn’t have time yet, we are too young laughing. There was a lot of things. And here I can’t help but note our other uniqueness: we have every musician from the orchestral group can act as a soloist. In order not to be unfounded, I will give one example: soon we will have a very interesting concert in which there are three violin solo; We had to invite some eminent violinist, but we decided to do our own.

We are not the situation when the musician just sits in the group without going beyond the boundaries of his party. Everyone, if necessary, can perfectly act as a soloist. We are a really unique team!
