Biography of Karamzin retelling
Karamzin Nikolay Mikhailovich - writer, historian, publicist. Born in the Simbirsk province, grew up in the village of Father -Premier. He studied at the boarding house, visited Moscow University. He traveled around Europe. The author of the well -known “letters of the Russian traveler” is the story “Poor Lisa”, “History of the Russian State”. Karamzin’s poetry, which developed in the line of European sentimentalism, was radically different from the traditional poetry of his time, brought up on the Odams of Lomonosov and Derzhavin.
The following differences were the most significant: Karamzin was not interested in the external, physical, but the internal, spiritual world of man. His poems say “in the language of the heart”, not reason. The object of Karamzin’s poetry is “simple life”, and for its description it uses simple poetic forms - poor rhymes, avoids the abundance of metaphors and other paths so popular in the verses of its predecessors.
Another difference between Karamzin’s poetics is that the world is fundamentally unknowable to him, the poet recognizes the presence of different points of view on the same subject. Karamzin was a cultural and educated person of his time, possessing unquestioned authority. He was almost the first in Russian literature to turn to the feelings and events of a person’s personal life, proving that this can be done not abstruse and heavy, but easily and entertaining.
However, despite his many literary merits, Karamzin remains, first of all, a historian for the modern reader. His presentation of the events of the history of Rus' from ancient times to the 17th century first organized scattered material into a single work. In the year, Karamzin released the first eight volumes of his historical work, the three thousandth circulation of which was dispersed within a month.
In subsequent years, three more volumes of “history” came out, a number of translations of it appeared into the main European languages. The unfinished XII volume was published after the death of Karamzin. Karamzin arrived in Nizhny Novgorod in September and settled in the house of I. Averkiev, who became the place of meetings of Russian culture figures who left Moscow before the Napoleonic troops entered there.
The writers K. Batyushkov, V. Pushkin - uncle A. from Pushkin, S. Glinka, historians N. Bantysh - Kamensky, A. Malinovsky and other famous figures were in Karamzin's house. After the death of the historian, no one was engaged in the affairs of the estate for a long time. But from the end - gg. Sources of Belkin D. Russian writers on Nizhny Novgorod land.
