Marat Shoranov: “Medicine is a calling and a matter of all life” Preparation of doctors of a new formation on the example of the oldest medical university of the country, the rector of the oldest medical university of Kazakhstan, Exfendiyarov Marat Schoranov, told Liter about how the university undergoes a transformation and improves the training of specialists to raise a new generation of the country's elite.

We have more than one hundred thousand graduates, a third of the medical specialists of our country are proud that they are Aspendiyarovites. Such a status has a great responsibility to our university. The Kazakh National Medical University named after Sanjara Asfendiyarova is already a well -established brand of Medvuza. The number of freshmen is growing annually.

For example, this year we have another record for those who received - almost four thousand people at all levels of education: undergraduate, internship, magistracy, residency. Moreover, every third freshman is the owner of the state educational grant. Total in general, the number of students is now more than 15 thousand. Moreover, these are the best graduates of schools and colleges.

We have retained one of the highest semi -passage points in the country. For example, to get a grant to the dentistry school, it was necessary to score points, this is a very high indicator. But in general, we do not strive to achieve only quantitative indicators, we pay more attention to the quality of training of future doctors. In this vein, we focus on leading foreign medical universities, this is integration into the international academic and scientific community, the creation of new educational programs, the increase in partnerships, an increase in academic mobility, the updating of educational, clinical, scientific bases of the university, the introduction of artificial intelligence into the educational process and much more.

In general, today's freshmen, after graduation, will become our anniversary output. And this centuries -old line will be met already in an updated, improved appearance, realizing all the goals of the development program. Today, the organizational structure of the execution corresponds to the modern model of the integration of science, education and practice. All departments of five university schools are closely involved in practical, educational and scientific activities.

For many years, execution has played one of the key roles in solving the issue of shortage of medical personnel. According to the latest data, we have more than four thousand experts, but I am sure that this issue needs to be solved not only by the growth of the received state educational grants, but also to an increase in the quality of preparation of the available ones.

We devoted a significant part of the work this year to develop a program for the development of our university for the years that was approved by the government in August. Our mission is to serve the company through the training of competitive health specialists based on the integration of advanced educational, scientific and medical technologies. Regarding specific steps, I will say that we set ourselves in the new academic year the tasks of improving the personnel potential, introducing new teaching technologies, new educational programs, improving the content of educational programs, including optimizing the number of loans and the load of PPS and students, and also planned to obtain licenses for online learning programs.

As part of the student center, the latest technologies are introduced to increase the comfort of learning. Together with student organizations, we collect students 'requests and work on the implementation of their ideas: repairs of hostels, creating new non-playing spaces, the introduction of healthy nutrition at catering points, free Wi-Fi in all buildings are those small but very important steps that show students' involvement in the life of the university, their important role in the decision-making process.

At the moment, we have a lot of work on digitalization at our university. This process is quite laborious, it includes not only the development of infrastructure, but also the preparation of our specialists for work in the new conditions. The Digirize Digitalization Department has developed its own portal "Digital Service Center", which provides high -quality digital services and services on the principle of "single window".

Students and teachers are already actively using services. All this allows us to optimize labor costs and exclude the human factor. We are also faced with the tasks of creating a single digital platform on the principle of “one university - one digital platform” based on Hero Study Space, digitalization of the library, accounting, testing center, simulation center and proactoring.As part of the digitalization of the library, we will transform the library space to provide round-the-clock access, provide noisy and quiet zones in the library, areas for independent work, equipped with convenient, ergonomic workplaces with access to the information environment of the university and zone for group work, holding meetings of the so-called Co -working Space.

The question of the lack of student dormitories also has always stood, but it has become especially acute in recent years. This is a serious task for all universities in the country that our president voiced in his message. At the beginning of the year, it is planned to build a new hostel in place. We also repaired all our existing dormitories and conducted renovation on the campus and in the audience of the university.

We actively support students from socially vulnerable categories: discounts on training, free food and accommodation, compensation for the purchase of clothing and shoes for students-orgirot and other help is provided to such students. The priority for us will always be the preparation of highly qualified medical workers, and we consider our duty to support really motivated guys, those for whom medicine is a calling and the work of all life.

We stimulate participation in the scientific projects of students from the first year. Our Uuniversett took first place among medical universities in the rating of the NAR for scientific publications for the year! Publishing activity is growing annually, the full -time teacher has a Hirsch index. Currently, intra -universal financing covers 23 scientific projects in the amount of tenge.

One project is funded by the Ministry of Health in the amount of 7 tenge. Twelve projects are funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for the total amount of tenge. What can you tell about this? The execution seeks to become a point of attraction of science, business and state. Doctors, as you know, basically do not have business knowledge. But we are sure that many experts have vivid, innovative ideas.

Therefore, we carry out systematic work to create a special technopark for commercializing scientific research. And to accumulate financial resources that will go to the implementation of the best ideas, the Foundation Endaum was created. The structure of the technopark will include: business incubator, Life Science laboratory, commercialization center and industrial production department.

The Endaum Fund accumulates financial resources according to the model of the Nobel Fund, in six months millions of tenge in the form of sponsorship were attracted. The funds will be primarily used for the establishment of the Center for Competencies of Orphan Neurological Diseases in children on the basis of the Aksai clinic, the renovation of the audience of the technological park, as well as the organization of the intra -university contest of grants.

They will go to support scientific projects of young scientists. As for the technopark, it is also developing. For the first time, the commercialization reactor was launched by us in June as part of ASFEN Forum. Participants presented more than twenty medical startups-from the blood donation project to the Assistant for the dental clinic. This is a social entrepreneurial project, one of a kind.

The result of the University’s cooperation with the QAZ Innovates Science Fund was financial support for business mining projects totaling 33 million tenge. We take an active part in the industry reactor of MedTech commercialization. The participants in the incubation were trained by highly qualified business experts who helped them develop their projects, build MVP, analyze the Unit economy and conduct problematic interviews with potential customers and partners.

Practice solves everything - I think you will agree that practice is also an important part of training. What can you say about the practical training of students? We have the largest simulation center for doctors in the execution, it is used not only by students, but it also works to train existing specialists. In addition, our students have wide access to clinical bases throughout Almaty and the Almaty region.

On the basis of our clinics, unique operations are carried out, which helps students receive advanced knowledge. We will carry out all such operations in the amount of tenge. In addition, we are planned, starting from the year, the opening of the following centers: clinical endocrinology and diabetes; Nephrology; Monitoring and supporting the results of audiological screening; Competencies of neurological orphan diseases; Allergological; Scientific and clinical center of rheumatology; as well as conducting clinical research on the basis of CVB.

Not every university can boast of this indicator. Meanwhile, at the vacancies fair in May, we received 3 applications for highly paid medical specialists. That is, the demand for our graduates is much exceeds the proposal, and the employers themselves come from all regions to get our graduates to their team.All the rectors of this legendary university contributed to its development, and we do not forget these merits, but we see those areas where we need to work hard.

The university still has great tasks to improve personnel potential, improve the qualifications of the faculty, attract more teachers with knowledge of the English language, update the material and technical resources of educational laboratories, audiences, centers, integration of many processes into a single digital space and much more. We prepared and issued a “National Report of the development of the PMSP in the Republic of Kazakhstan”, and a joint statement of countries was adopted - a participant in the conference on firm commitment to strengthening healthcare systems and protecting the well -being of their citizens.

The joint efforts of the countries are designed to lead to the achievement of universal coverage of health care services, to ensure equal access to health care services for all people. We have a large tank in matters of support for practical health care, including training existing doctors. The university makes a significant contribution to the continuous professional development of practical health specialists.

Today, our university is the flagship of higher education and research, which has the strongest clinical bases and scientific institutions. Our university clinics provide unique medical services and play an important role in the health care of Kazakhstan. In the direction of medicine, we will emphasize the modernization of university clinics, equipping them with all the necessary equipment and staff.

University clinics executions today are the hope of recovery for thousands of patients from different parts of the country, which are treated absolutely free of charge within the framework of state support. Execution also develops appropriate plans for receiving additional students for residency and a project of a university clinic. As we said that we need a university clinic, where multidisciplinary care will be provided to patients in one place.

The Kazakh National Medical University named after Sanjara Asfendiyarova retains the status of a leading specialized university in the country, confidently moves forward and adds in development. All indicators at the end of the year indicate the rapid development and growth of the authority of the university and the quality of its work.
