It is named after the outstanding nuclear physicist Georgy Nikolayevich Fleerov, a scientist who stood at the origins of the atomic era and made a number of the most important discoveries for the world science. But not only physics found a place in the life of George Flerov.
There was a lyrics in her - a huge love for his wife, Anna Viktorovna. Georgy Nikolaevich and his wife lived together for 50 years - until the death of the scientist in the year. The Fleurs did not advertise their personal life, did not share its details with the press. But everyone who knew this married couple felt sincere love of each other and the spiritual closeness of these two people.
George and Anna met in the summer of the year in the Caucasus, where both came to relax with tourist groups. By that time, George was already a promising young scientist, worked with the outstanding physicist Kurchatov and made the opening of the world level - revealed a spontaneous division of Uranus, thus finding the key to the creation of atomic energy.
Anna Podgurskaya recently graduated from the Physics and Technical Department of the University of Leningrad and entered graduate school, where she was studying space rays. Georgy Nikolaevich briefly recorded memories of a meeting with his future wife in his diary. She silently contemplated the panorama of the snowy mountains, and on the ground in front of her stood an open bank of canned meat.
Such a combination of spiritual and quite earthly made a strong impression on me. I came up, introduced myself. They talked for a long time. " During the rest in the Caucasus, Anna and Victor often talked. They were interested together. When the time came to part, Anna and Victor exchanged addresses. She lived in Leningrad, he is in Moscow. Both were busy people.
And they could not meet. And then the Great Patriotic War began. In M Anna from the besieged Leningrad, she was evacuated to Moscow. Victor was still in the capital. And here they saw each other again. They shared pain with each other - both recently lost their mothers. It was then that Fleurov realized that he loved Anna. With his love and faith in the best, he helped the girl to thaw, recover from heavy blockade memories.
In the year, young people got married. The Kurchatov Research Institute of Atomic Energy, where George worked at that time, allocated an apartment in a new house to a young family. There, a year later, the Fleurovs had a son Nikolai. At the same time, George was approved to participate in an atomic project. It was a test - in the literal and figurative sense. Scientists had to conduct an experimental explosion of an atomic bomb at the training ground.
Everything was strictly classified. Anna Viktorovna did not know what exactly her husband was doing. He left somewhere all the time and could not really tell anything. She waited endlessly and did not know what would happen next.
The experiment was successful. Georgy Nikolaevich received the Stalin Prize and the title of Hero of Socialist Labor. He was awarded with a summer house and lifelong the right of free travel in the expanses of the Soviet Union for the whole family. The Fleurovs loved traveling! They did not need a sanatorium or hotels with luxury rooms. A tent, backpacks, mountains or taiga - the main thing is that away from civilization, so that only they and nature.
The rest of the time, the spouses often managed to stay together. Since the year, Fleurov lived in Dubna near Moscow, where he headed the United Institute of Nuclear Research. In view of the special regime of the object, Anna Viktorovna and the summer son remained in Moscow. Before the work day and after work, Fleers always called his wife. On Saturdays in the morning, Georgy Nikolaevich came from Dubna to Moscow.
The at home of the scientist was waiting for his wife's waffle tubes with Marmelad - his favorite treat. After lunch, she and Anna Viktorovna went for a walk or received guests - the Fleerov house was always open to relatives and friends. According to the colleague and friend of the family, the director of the nuclear reactions laboratory, Sergei Dmitrieva, Georgy Nikolaevich and Anna Viktorovna treated each other with respect and warmth.
